(CAMBRIDGE, ONTARIO, September 17, 2012. NorthSpring Capital Partners (“NorthSpring”) today announced the closing of an investment in Exocor Inc. (“Exocor”) of St. Catharines, ON. NorthSpring and Roynat Capital provided subordinated debt financing to enable Exocor to complete the acquisition of Huntington Alloys Canada Ltd., operating as Controlled Products Group (C.P.G.), of Stoney Creek, ON. Together CPG and Exocor bring over 45 years of experience as solution-sellers of high performance welding filler metals used for fabrication and repair across a diverse group of heavy industries including oil and gas, power generation, chemical production, ship building, and transportation services.
The synergies created by the two organizations significantly increase their ability to provide superior products, industry leading technical support and greater service for their already strong customer base. All of the staff is being retained in their current roles and immediate plans are to continue to operate the two organizations independently.
